LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The City of Las Vegas adopted two bills to help prevent animal abuse and neglect.<\/p>\n
The bills were inspired by high profile animal events last year, according to a letter from councilwoman Victoria Seaman.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s now limits on how many animals a pet shop or breeder can sell to one person or household in a single year. <\/p>\n
This was based off a hoarding case where a couple purchased over 60 animals from the Petland in Boca Park.<\/p>\n

This ordinance was based on Reba the Bulldog\u2019s story. Two people are accused of her death, Isaac Laushaul Jr. and Markeisha Chanpale Foster.<\/p>\n They both face three charges.<\/p>\n On or around July 25, 2024 the pair allegedly placed the English Bulldog in an bin with a lid<\/a> and was left outside the extreme summer heat, which caused Reba to have a heat stroke and ultimately die.<\/p>\n Copyright 2025 KVVU.
