{"id":285,"date":"2025-01-10T10:35:28","date_gmt":"2025-01-10T18:35:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stand77.biz\/one-person-dies-after-head-on-collision-in-east-las-vegas-earlier-this-week\/"},"modified":"2025-01-16T22:33:39","modified_gmt":"2025-01-17T06:33:39","slug":"one-person-dies-after-head-on-collision-in-east-las-vegas-earlier-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stand77.biz\/category\/casino-resorts\/one-person-dies-after-head-on-collision-in-east-las-vegas-earlier-this-week\/","title":{"rendered":"One person dies after head-on collision in East Las Vegas earlier this week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>LAS VEGAS (KTNV) \u2014 One person has died after a wreck in the east valley earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>The wreck happened around 3:19 p.m. Wednesday on Nellis Boulevard north of Vista Flora Way, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/embed?pb=!1m14!1m12!1m3!1d8415.768841210034!2d-115.07616649264452!3d36.1263113372683!2m3!1f0!2f0!3f0!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!5e1!3m2!1sen!2sus!4v1736532073623!5m2!1sen!2sus\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" style=\"border:0;\" allowfullscreen=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>A 2014 Ram 1500 was heading north of Nellis in the center of three lanes at the same time a 2006 Toyota Sienna was heading south on Nellis in the left-most lane, each approaching the intersection of Vista Flora Way.<\/p>\n<p>The Ram began to drift left, crossing the concrete median barrier, and entered the path of the Toyota.<\/p>\n<p>Both vehicles sustained major damage. The Ram&#8217;s driver was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>The Toyota&#8217;s driver, who did not show signs of impairment, had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to Sunrise Hospital with life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>This incident marks the 3rd traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department&#8217;s jurisdiction for the year 2025.
