LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Lunar New Year is still two weeks ago but celebrations are beginning all month long!

GRAND CANAL SHOPPES
Cultural Performances: Guests will be welcomed to celebrate Lunar New Year with daily performances in St. Mark’s Square. Beginning January 29 through February 1, 2025, the iconic area will transform into a lively affair as performers take to the stage to showcase traditional dances with performances that will take place at 3 p.m. daily. The series of performances will be highlighted by a ceremonial lion blessing on February 2, 2025, at 3 p.m., starting in St. Mark’s Square and journeying throughout The Shoppes.
Celebratory Photo Opportunities: In honor of the holiday, The Shoppes will provide a festive ambiance with immersive decorations inspired by Lunar New Year traditions from January 29 through February 16, 2025. Guests can capture memorable moments with various photo opportunities, such as a lantern display near Smith & Wollensky, signifying the end of the Lunar New Year cycle and heralding good luck and fortune. Additionally, the center’s iconic smoke-breathing Golden Dragon can be viewed near Louis Vuitton and Kate Spade New York.
Gift with Purchase: Adding to the celebration, shoppers who spend $500 or more on the same day can show their receipts to Guest Services to receive a signature gift tote bag and an exclusive Year of the Snake charm and keyholder set.
FASHION SHOW MALL
Interactive Musical Lanterns: Creating a festive atmosphere, guests will be welcomed to enjoy a captivating display as vibrant red lanterns will illuminate the center to symbolize prosperity and good fortune. Synchronized to traditional Chinese melodies, the lantern show will take place every 30 minutes each day, creating an enchanting ambiance for all guests.
Lucky Envelopes Promotion: Guests can embrace the tradition of the Lucky Red Envelope with a special promotion running from January 13 through February 3, 2025. Guests can visit the Management Office to receive a red envelope containing delightful surprises, including chocolate coins symbolizing wealth and fortune. Among these, 100 exclusive envelopes will feature a limited-edition FSLV Year of the Snake poker chip, redeemable for a $25 gift card. Supplies are limited, so early participation is encouraged to secure these exclusive goodies.
Lion Dance and Lantern Festival: Visitors can join the festivities on February 2, 2025, from noon to 2 p.m. in The Great Hall for an unforgettable celebration of luck and community. The event will feature a lively, authentic lion dance performance, a symbol of power and good luck, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of traditional drums and cymbals. Guests can engage in a hands-on lantern-making craft station, where they can create and take home their very own personalized lanterns. To complete the experience, guests can snap a memorable photo with the God of Good Fortune.
Gift with Purchase: Shoppers are invited to elevate their Lunar New Year celebrations with a special gift with-purchase promotion. Guests who show $350 or more in same-day receipts will receive an exclusive Year of the Snake 40-ounce insulated tumbler. Terms apply.
THE STRAT
The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower will host a lively Lunar New Year celebration honoring the “Year of the Snake.”
Hotel and casino guests will be mesmerized by a traditional lion dance performed by the Lohan School of Shaolin at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1.
Performers dance in extravagant lion costumes, which symbolize power, wisdom, and superiority, weaving through the casino in a spectacular display of energy, drums, tradition, and more.

Palace Station, Green Valley Ranch, Durango Casino & Resort, and Red Rock Casino will welcome the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Snake with traditional lion dances and festive décor.

BELLAGIO’S CONSERVATORY & BOTANICAL GARDENS
Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is ushering in the Year of the Snake with a vibrant holiday display, on view from January 11 through March 1.
The area is complimentary and open to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN
The Downtown Summerlin Lunar New Year parade, presented by Kirin Ichiban, returns on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
Festivities start at 5:30 p.m. with the signature parade at 6:00 p.m. complete with fan dancers, stilt walkers, an oversized dragon, and more.
The parade takes place on Park Centre Drive and is complimentary to the public.
Starting January 20, the property celebrates The Year of the Snake with festive décor throughout the common areas.
Highlights include picture-perfect oversized 2025 letters at the Macy’s Promenade, a larger-than-life Chinese dragon at the Dining Arroyo, and an insta-worthy photo wall filled with festive décor located in the hallway near H&M.
On Wednesday, Jan. 29 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., enjoy the KIRIN ICHIBAN Lunar New Year Tasting Experience in the Dining Arroyo.
A complimentary beer-tasting experience will be provided for guests ages 21 + before the parade begins.
FORUM SHOPS AT CAESARS PALACE
Illuminated Dragon Display
The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace welcomes the 22-ft. long, 6 ft. wide, and 12-ft. high dragon, the traditional symbol of good fortune and strength, to the world-renowned retail destination in honor of the Lunar New Year. Rightfully situated on the Fortuna Terrace near the interior casino entrance to The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, the large show-stopping dragon is covered in 30,000 flickering red and amber LED lights, resting upon a luxurious red carpet and surrounded by hand-painted wood pillars and gold fencing.
Lion Dance and Blessings
Guests can revel in the excitement of the Lunar New Year by capturing the magic of three magnificent lions, accompanying musicians, and the blessings of six boutiques that make up the traditional Lion Dance. The Lion Dance will begin at The Fountain of The Gods at 12 p.m. and serenade the center until 1 p.m. Known for its commitment, hard work, and dedication to preserving inspiration for over 30 years, the Lohan School has proudly performed the Chinese Lion Dance, enriching the Las Vegas community through vibrant displays of culture.
Lucky Red Envelope
Guests can stop by the Dragon Display on Wednesday, January 29 from 1-5 p.m. and receive a Lucky Red Envelope. The envelope symbolizes good luck and happiness and contains special offers and prizes including a limited number of shopping gift cards in various denominations.
SILVERTON CASINO
Silverton Casino invites the community to celebrate Chinese New Year and kick off the Year of the Snake with a spectacular and vibrant Lion Dance performance on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 5 p.m. The lively tradition will begin at the porte cochere and wind through the casino, filling the air with excitement, color, and cultural significance.
