Station Casinos is set to extend its sportsbook footprint with new operations at three additional Nevada casino properties, including one on the Las Vegas Strip.
The company announced Thursday it will partner with Mesquite Gaming LLC and Treasure Island Las Vegas to bring its STN Sportsbook platform to the Casablanca Resort & Casino, Virgin River Casino & Lodge, and Treasure Island.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board is scheduled to review the licensing requests on April 10. Should the board recommend approval, the Nevada Gaming Commission will take up the matter for final consideration on April 24.
The licensing applications propose a revenue-sharing model between Station Casinos and the operators of the sportsbooks at the three venues. Presently, the sportsbooks at Casablanca and Virgin River are run by Mesquite Gaming, while Treasure Island operates its own in-house sportsbook.
Station Casinos, a subsidiary of Red Rock Resorts, confirmed the proposed partnerships but did not disclose the financial terms or provide a timeline for the operational transition. A spokesperson said the company would release further details after the Control Board’s meeting.
“Pending Nevada Gaming Control Board and Commission approval, Station Casinos is thrilled to announce a partnership with Mesquite Gaming, LLC properties Casablanca Resort & Casino and Virgin River Casino & Lodge, [and Treasure Island Las Vegas Hotel & Casino], bringing its best-in-the-business technology and customer service with an STN Sportsbook experience and mobile account sign-up location,” the company said in a statement to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
If approved, the agreements will introduce Station Casinos’ sportsbook technology and services to new markets, offering expanded access to its STN Sports platform.
