Ever since the inaugural Best Friends Forever Festival took over the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center last October, we’ve been twiddling our thumbs, eagerly anticipating news of its return. The moment has finally arrived, this fall, BFF Fest is back.
S&S Presents will once again summon the spirit of emo, delivering a three-day showcase October 10-12 that blends nostalgia with the present pulse of the genre. Expect to see seasoned legends emerging from their hibernation alongside the current torchbearers of emo and indie rock.
This year’s headliners include ’90s and early 2000s alt-rock icons like Jawbreaker, Minus the Bear and Rilo Kiley—acts that shaped a generation. The roster of more than 30 acts also features must-see bands like Mineral, who’ve dubbed this performance their farewell show; Cursive, which will play its most acclaimed albums Domestica and The Ugly Organ; and Pedro the Lion, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary.
Crochet and Febuary, two homegrown acts who’ve been nothing short of monumental in the ever-growing local screamo scene and beyond, will also share a stage with some of these greats, drawing attention to themselves and Las Vegas’ prolific music scene.
And that isn’t all. The festival organizers are still holding a couple of cards close to their chest, with two surprise acts still under wraps. Who they are is anyone’s guess, but they’ll keep us on edge as we get closer to festival weekend.
In addition, S&S Presents has responded to feedback from last year’s attendees, making several exciting improvements. According to a press release, three-day pass holders will now have re-entry privileges, free water refill stations will be available throughout the weekend and accessible viewing areas will be enhanced. Expect more non-alcoholic beverage options and a food selection that’ll fulfill fan requests.
Three-day GA and VIP wristbands range from $219 to $319, not including fees. Tickets and travel packages are available at BestFriendsForeverFest.com.
