The Chargers have already clinched a for the first time in two years, winning 10 games for just the second time since 2010. Under Jim Harbaugh, Justin Herbert and company have played some confident football, using a reliable defense to advance to the postseason. While there isn’t much for them to play for, a win on Sunday would give them a chance for a potentially better matchup in the Wild Card round.
As it stands, Los Angeles will be facing the Buffalo Bills in New York. With a victory, they would move up to fifth in the AFC, setting up a clash with the Houston Texans.
The Raiders are simply playing for draft position at this point. With just four wins on the year, they are sitting 12th in the conference. The team is one of nine teams with four or fewer victories. However, Las Vegas was on its way to the first overall pick, losing 10 consecutive games, but back-to-back victories over the also-terrible Jacksonville Jaguars and New Orleans Saints have put that in jeopardy.
This is the second meeting of the season between the AFC West rivals. The Chargers opened the season with a 22-10 win in Week 1. L.A. is 69-59-2 against Las Vegas.
MY PICK: Chargers win, 28-13
