Original| The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is actively investigating a situation involving a barricaded suspect on the 7200 block of Grand Palace Avenue, near North Tenaya Way and West Tropical Parkway.
According to police, the incident began around 2:30 p.m. when a family member reportedly threatened others with a knife.
The family members were able to exit the residence safely, but the suspect refused to leave the premises, police say.
Authorities have not reported any injuries at this time.
Police are advising the public to avoid the area as they work to resolve the situation.
