Suspect in stabbing found dead with self-inflicted wounds – Las Vegas Sun News


A suspect in a stabbing was found dead in an apartment from self-inflicted wounds, according to Metro Police.

The stabbing was reported about 2:10 a.m. today in the 3100 block of Tarpon Drive, in the area of Hacienda and McLeod drives, police said.

The female victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, police said.

Officers learned the suspect went into a nearby apartment, police said. They tried to make contact with him, but he refused to comply, police said.

SWAT officers and crisis negotiators responded, police said. SWAT officers subsequently made entry and located the male dead with self-inflicted wounds, police said.

Metro asked people to avoid the area. The investigation was ongoing, police said.
